No matter the character I create they each have a story, a personality, a style, and a sense of something that should make them unique.
A collection of character designs, and illustrations bringing life to stories. I research expression, fashion, cultures, and history in order to develop believable, energetic characters that have both personality and vibrancy.
In designing the character “October”
I was influenced by several Japanese models and some fashion blogs.
His glasses and characteristic hair tied back are two elements I wanted to be sure were highlighted in this illustration. I also felt the side profile suited his demeanor and personality.
I have developed my own story “Sign of the Times” for nearly 7 years now.
It takes drawings like this to breathe life into a character.
